Picea abies 'Jana'

The 'Jana' Norway spruce is an incredibly slow-growing, miniature variety that will reach 12-18 inches tall and wide at full maturity. Its short, green needles are densely compact, giving it a mounded appearance. This variety is commonly used in rock gardens and for topiaries.

Picea glauca 'Blue Planet'

The 'Blue Planet' has incredibly tiny needles that cluster in a dense, mounded growth habit. This variety will slowly reach 1' tall and wide. Its blue-green shade accents the colors of natural landscapes and makes a great addition to rock gardens and more confined garden spaces.

Pixie Dust' is an incredibly dense, slow-growing variety that will reach 12-18 inches tall and 6 inches wide at full maturity. A flush of vibrant yellow needles emerges in the summer and add a dramatic contrast against the darker green needles.

The 'Abbott's Pygmy' is one of the smallest varieties in the hemlock family. It will only grow 1-2' tall and wide at full maturity. It does best in moist, well-drained soils and needs protection from hot, afternoon sun.

Tsuga canadensis 'Hebefolia'

This dwarf variety will slowly reach 2-3' tall and 1-2' wide. The foliage is the highlight of this plant, with rounded, tight needles that grow close to the bark, giving the plant an open growth habit. Silvery, exposed bark accents the tiny, green needles. Grows best when protected from hot, afternoon sun.
