It is a fast growing variety that will quickly reach 15-25' tall and wide. Its purplish-black fruits that appear in summer are often used for jellies and jams.
The 'Summer Gold' variety is known for its bright green foliage that is variegated with yellow margins. Foliage turns brilliant red with yellow-orange margins in the fall.
