The 'Green Mountain' boxwood is often used for creating hedges due to its bright-green foliage and dense growth habit. It will reach 4-5' tall and 2-3' wide at maturity.
Compact Inkberry. The 'Compact' inkberry keeps a dense, rounded habit, growing 4-6' tall and wide. It is a slow grower and can easily be pruned back if desired. This variety can handle full sun or part shade and does well in moist soils, making this a great option for foundation areas that retain water. Black berries will appear in fall and persist through winter when paired with a pollinator, such as the 'Nordic'.
Shamrock Compact Inkberry. This compact form of the native inkberry has lustrous dark green leaves. It is a slow growing, evergreen shrub that will reach 3-4' tall and wide. Tolerates wet sites. Excellent for foundation planting and hedging.
This variety has rich-green, spreading branches that keep their luster through the seasons. It grows 2-3' tall and 6-8' wide.
The dwarf Japanese garden juniper is a low-growing, groundcover variety that will reach 12 inches high and 5-6 wide. It is often used to combat erosion on slopes and embankments.
