The 'Chippewa' is a compact, upright variety that is great for small garden spaces. It will get 3-4' tall and wide, and produces sweet, juicy berries that will ripen in mid-summer. Berries are great for baking, cooking, fresh eating and preserves. Brilliant orange-red fall foliage and white flowers emerging mid-spring create interest all year round. Will do best when planted in organically rich soil amongst other blueberry varieties.
Clusters of small white flowers burst forth in spring, followed by small, purplish-blue fruit that ripens in late summer. Its fruit is popular for jams, jellies and pies. Grows to be 4-6' tall and wide.
Winterthur' has white flower clusters that bloom in late spring, followed by clusters of berries that change color as they ripen. Dark-green leaves turn dark, purplish-red in the fall. Keeps an upright habit, reaching 6-10' tall and 5-6' wide.
The 'Blackhaw' is a fast-growing variety that reaches 10-15' tall and 8-12' wide. It produces white, lacey flowers in early summer and purplish-black berries in the fall that can sometimes persist into winter. Dark green foliages ages to reddish-purple in the fall.
