It has a dense, upright growth habit and will reach 4-6' tall and wide at maturity. Fall foliage morphs through shades of orange, yellow and red.
The 'Rhode Island Red' is a dwarf variety with a dense, rounded growth habit, reaching 4-6' tall and wide at maturity. Its crimson foliage darkens to deep purple in the summer before turning orange-red in the fall. Prefers full morning sun with afternoon shade.
