The 'Royal White' variety has a broad growth habit, reaching 15-25' tall and wide. It produces clusters of true-white blooms in spring before its foliage emerges.

Samyl has particularly high-quality flowers.has a vigorous, bushy habit that is similar to Samdal, but not as dense. Plants are partially self fruitful, but planting two S. nigra cultivars will assure better fruit production for both.
Mt. Airy' fothergilla produces white, bottlebrush blooms in the spring before foliage emerges. It will reach 4-6' tall and wide at maturity. Blue-green foliage turns vibrant shades of orange and red in the fall.
The 'Royal Star' is prized for its large, double-petaled, white flowers that bloom in early spring before its foliage emerges. It is a smaller variety that will reach 10-15' tall and 10-12' wide at maturity.
The 'Raspberry Shortcake' is a thornless variety that grows 2-3' tall and wide. Its compact nature makes it great for container gardening. Berries will ripen in late-July or early-July.
The 'Yellow Anne' variety produces sunshine colored fruit with a hint of apricot flavor. Sweet, firm berries are great for jams, tarts and salads. First crop will ripen early-July through August and second crop will ripen September through frost. Will get 4-6' tall and 3-4' wide.
