Calycanthus floridus

Carolina Allspice Sweetshrub. The Carolina sweetshrub has dark, glossy green leaves that are accented by dark red blooms from late spring to mid-summer. This variety can reach 8-12' tall and wide and grows taller in shaded areas. Blooms are incredibly fragrant.
