The American boxwood is a slow-growing, densely compact variety that is commonly used in hedging. It can grow 6-10' tall and wide at maturity, but is generally pruned to a manageable size.
The Colorado Blue spruce has rigidly tiered, stiff branches covered with striking, blue-gray needles. It has a pyramidal growth habit and will reach 10-12' tall and 4-6' wide in the first 10 years, but will eventually reach 40-60' tall and 10-20' wide at full maturity. Its color and texture make it a wonderful specimen tree for any landscape.
