The 'Blueray' produces large, firm berries with extra sweetness, making them great for fresh eating and baking. Fruit will ripen mid-July, and this variety will bear a larger crop when paired with other pollinators. Can get up to 6-8' tall and wide, but can be pruned in late winter to maintain a managable size. The 'Blueray' is a great pollinator for other varieties. Does best in organically rich soil.
Magical Moonlight Buttonbush. The 'Magical Moonlight' variety will reach 6-8' tall and 4-6' wide. Its large, white, button-shaped blooms emerge in early summer and attracts butterflies, bees and other pollinators. Does well in wet areas.

Samyl has particularly high-quality flowers.has a vigorous, bushy habit that is similar to Samdal, but not as dense. Plants are partially self fruitful, but planting two S. nigra cultivars will assure better fruit production for both.
The 'Limelight' produces abundant, bright lime-green flowers from mid to late summer. Very hardy variety that performs well as a specimen. Matures 6-8' tall and wide.
This shade-loving evergreen offers vibrant color to your winter landscape. Large clusters of fragrant yellow flowers appear in late fall or early winter and are followed by attractive, blue berries after blooms are spent. This variety has an upright, draping growth habit and makes a great specimen when planted on its own, but also provides an attractive hedger when planted in masses. Will grow 6-8' tall and 4' wide. Requires part to full shade.
