Callicarpa Americana

The American beautyberry is a beautiful mid-sized shrub with arching branches and yellow-green fall foliage. It produces large clusters of attractive, purple berries from summer through fall. It will reach 4-6' tall and wide at maturity.

Cornus alba 'Elegantissima'

The variegated red twig dogwood has beautiful foliage that is accented with creamy-white margins. It keeps a neat, bushy habit, growing 6-8' tall and 4-6' wide. Vibrant red twigs are exposed in the winter.

Cotinus coggygria 'NCCO1'

The 'Winecraft Black' variety is a striking, mid-sized smoke bush with rich puprle foliage and burgundy-red flowers that resemble plooms of smoke. Foliage darkens as the seasons change, turning almost black before a brilliant orange fall color appears. Will grow 4-6' tall and wide. Flowers will appear in early summer.

Fothergilla major 'Mount Airy'

Mt. Airy' fothergilla produces white, bottlebrush blooms in the spring before foliage emerges. It will reach 4-6' tall and wide at maturity. Blue-green foliage turns vibrant shades of orange and red in the fall.

The 'Azurri Blue Satin' produces a large, powder-blue flower with a vibrant, burgundy-purple center. It will reach 8-12' tall and 4-6' wide at maturity and is quite striking when in bloom.


Prunus maritima

Clusters of small white flowers burst forth in spring, followed by small, purplish-blue fruit that ripens in late summer. Its fruit is popular for jams, jellies and pies. Grows to be 4-6' tall and wide.

Viburnum dentatum var. deamii

This variety will slowly reach 4-6' tall and wide. It produces large clusters of spicy-scented, waxy-pink flowers that fade to white. Bright red berries fade to black in fall. Foliage turns burgundy in autumn.
