The 'Spitzenburg' produces a juicy, spicy flavored fruit that ripens in early October. They have pinkish-white flowers that appear in April and generally average at 8-12' tall and 4-6' wide. They require a pollinator, and pair well with the 'Red Fuji' variety.
The American beautyberry is a beautiful mid-sized shrub with arching branches and yellow-green fall foliage. It produces large clusters of attractive, purple berries from summer through fall. It will reach 4-6' tall and wide at maturity.
The 'Carmine Jewel' is a dwarf, shrub-like variety that will grow 6-8' tall and 4-6' side. Cherries are dark red with a small pit and their combination of sweet and tart flavor makes them great for pies, juicing and fresh eating. The 'Winecraft Black' variety is a striking, mid-sized smoke bush with rich puprle foliage and burgundy-red flowers that resemble plooms of smoke. Foliage darkens as the seasons change, turning almost black before a brilliant orange fall color appears. Will grow 4-6' tall and wide. Flowers will appear in early summer.
The 'Black Dragon' is prized for its unique branching habit and deep, green foliage that darkens as it ages. It has an open, pyramidal growth habit and will reach 8-10' tall and 4-6' wide at maturity.
The 'Genie' is prized for its vibrant, purplish-fuschia blooms that appear in mid to late spring before foliage emerges. Mid-sized variety with an upright growth habit, reaching 10-12' tall and 4-6' wide. Flowers are extra large and striking when displayed on bare branches.
This variety will slowly reach 4-6' tall and wide. It produces large clusters of spicy-scented, waxy pink flowers that fade to white. Bright red berries fade to black in fall. Foliage turns burgundy in autumn.
