The 'Shimpaku' is a very popular variety for bonsai and topiary specimens, but it adds a unique texture when added to garden landscapes. It has an upright, reaching habit and will grow 4-6' tall and wide. Attractive, peeling bark develops with age.
The female skimmia has small white flowers that appear in spring that are followed by bright-red berries. Slowly reaches 3-5' tall and 4-6' wide. Very fragrant. Evergreen.
