Mt. Airy' fothergilla produces white, bottlebrush blooms in the spring before foliage emerges. It will reach 4-6' tall and wide at maturity. Blue-green foliage turns vibrant shades of orange and red in the fall.
Northern Spice Bush. This native is known for its golden-yellow fall foliage and its dense, woody habit. It will reach 8-12' tall and wide at maturity.
