Chionanthus retusus

The Chinese fringe tree is a stunning specimen for both small and large yard spaces. It grows 15-20' tall and 20-25' wide, offering lots of shade for outdoor seating spaces. In late spring, the tree will be covered in white, elongated flowers that contrast against dark green foliage and have been known to glow in the moonlight.

Fringetree. The fringetree produces large, fragrant clusters of creamy-white blooms in late spring. This tree is quite striking when in bloom and makes a great specimen plant. It has a broad habit and will reach 15-30' tall and wide at maturity.

Cornus kousa 'Rutpink'

The 'Scarlet Fire' offers beautiful colors all year long. Dark green leaves emerge with purple-tinged new growth, then turn bright red in the fall. Its most striking feature is its bright fuschia flowers that last 6-8 weeks from the May through June. It will get 20-25' tall and 15-20' wide at full maturity.

Venus' has a broad, rounded growth habit, reaching 15-20' tall and wide at maturity. It produces massive clusters of large, true-white flowers in late spring that persist into summer.

Corylus avellana 'Contorta'

The Harry Lauder's Walking Stick is prized for its winter appearance, with thick, contorting branches and drooping, yellow catkins that appear on the stems in late winter. They have broadly, ovate green leaves from spring through fall. Will grow 8-10' tall and wide.

The 'Waterlily' is known for its double-petaled, fragrant, white blooms that emerge in early spring before foliage emerges. It will reach 15-20' tall and 15-18' wide at maturity. Deciduous.

Sweetbay Magnolia. The Sweetbay magnolia is a native variety that will reach 15-25' tall and wide at maturity. It produces large, white, fragrant blossoms that appear in early summer and attract a variety of beneficial pollinators.

The 'Genie' is prized for its vibrant, purplish-fuschia blooms that appear in mid to late spring before foliage emerges. Mid-sized variety with an upright growth habit, reaching 10-12' tall and 4-6' wide. Flowers are extra large and striking when displayed on bare branches.

The 'Lois' Magnolia produces creamy, yellow blooms in mid-spring before new foliage emerges. It is a mid-sized, upright variety that will reach 20-30' tall and 18-20' wide.

Malus 'Prairifire'

The 'Prairifire' crabapple is a rounded, mid-sized variety that makes quite an impact. Vibrant reddish-pink blooms explode in mid-spring, covering every inch of the branches. In the fall, glossy red fruits appear and persist for months without dropping. This variety gets 15-20' tall and wide and is a perfect specimen tree.

Sourwood. The sourwood tree is prized for its vibrant, orange and red fall foliage that contrasts against its long, swaying flower clusters. It will grow to be 20-50' tall and 15-20' wide.
