It is faster growing than other Japanese maple varieties and will grow best in organically rich, moist, but well-draining soil. Deep purple-red leaves are this variety's most striking feature, with leaves turning a rich crimson color in the fall.
Super Blue' is a fast-growing, clumping variety. Will grow 18-20 inches tall and wide. Lavender-blue blooms in late spring.
The 'Kwanzan' cherry produces large, ruffled pink blooms in early spring before foliage emerges, creating a vibrant display of color. It will reach 25-30' tall and wide and has an upright growth habit.
